Folk/ Indie band Dear Creek plays a free show tonight in Adams Morgan. Dear Creek features Shenandoah University students Kate Potrykus: Vocals/Guitar, Alex Salser: Guitar/Vocals, Joe Hilling: Drums/Vocals, Maddie Newell: Keys/Accordion/Vocals and CJ Fiandra: Bass. The band is "influenced by blues, jazz and rock and fostered by the heart of the Appalachian music tradition. Their live shows are passionate, energetic, sincere and always a blast, complete with diverse instrumentation like a washboard, banjo, mandolin, melodica, the Appalachian dulcimer and three part harmonies."

Columbia Station hosts live music nightly, no cover, and happy hour 'til 8:30pm on Tuesday - Friday, Jazz Jams on Saturday and Sundays from 4:30pm - 8:00pm and a Blues Jam every Tuesday night from 7:00pm - 10:00pm
