DC Walkabout is relatively new in town and I'm excited to let you know that they offer several free, tip-based walking tours of DC! Grab your comfy shoes and head on out to one of these tours this weekend! Learn more about the stories behind the monuments and buildings and engage first hand with knowledgeable tour guides who share a passion for DC! *Please bring cold water, sunscreen and sunglasses along, it's going to be hot out there!*

Whether you live here or are visiting, these tours are sure to add to your DC experience. Advance registration is requested, though not required so feel free to just show up! If you have any questions, you can call 202.421.4053 or email info@dcwalkabout.com.


When you show up for the tour, just look for the guide with the DC Walkabout logo shirt and a safari hat on! Tours take about two hours each and are held rain or shine. The lifeline connecting the White House to the Capitol Building, Pennsylvania Avenue is the heart of Washington DC, both symbolically and geographically. Major sights include: Lafayette Square, White House, Willard Hotel, Pershing Park, Freedom Plaza, Old Post Office, FBI, Justice Dept, Navy Memorial, National Archives, Canadian Embassy, and more.
Metro: McPherson Sq
Meet at the Baron Von Steuben Statue at the corner of H St, NW and Jackson Pl ,NW in Lafayette Square, the park in front of the White House.
