This Saturday there will be a community clothing and book swap and festival at the south end of the upper level of Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park. This one sounds like a super idea! Happy to pass the info along.

Bring clothes and books to swap or donate. A corner of the park will turn into an outdoor library. Also in the park, you can enjoy an interactive art project by posting digital photos and writing wishes to hang on tree branches in accordance to the Japanese holiday Tanabata celebrated on July 7th. There will also be live music and an open stage if you want to perform, a chance to play in the park and even free yoga and laughter exercises! At the end of the day, all remaining items will be distributed among several community organizations providing great services in DC, including The Homeless Children's Playtime Project and Dress for Success.

16th St, NW - between Euclid and Florida
Metro: Columbia Heights - events will take place on the upper level of the park near Euclid, you can also take the S2 or S4 bus to 16th & Euclid
