To complement Tim Hetherington: Sleeping Soldiers (on view at the Corcoran through May 20), this panel discussion examines the work of the late photographer and places it within the broader contexts of photojournalism and war photography today. Join photographer Susan Meiselas (Magnum Photos), photographer and journalist Michael Kamber (The New York Times), and scholar Stephen Mayes (VII Photo Agency)—all friends and colleagues of Hetherington—as they discuss innovations in the production and distribution of images of war. Philip Brookman, chief curator and head of research at the Corcoran, moderates.
