The Two Faces of War (As Duas Faces da Guerra) view trailer 2007, 105 min) by Diana Andringa and Flora Gomes -  is a documentary shot in Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and Portugal, which includes a series of interviews and testimonies of people who lived through the colonial period of the war / liberation in Guinea-Bissau. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by Iane Campos-Siddique, organizer of the Washington Portuguese Language Meetup and a university Adjunct Lecturer in Portuguese.


BloomScreen Indie Film Night – is a weekly series of independent and foreign films, accompanied by discussions with filmmakers and other experts. Our goal is to provide a unique experience that a local Cineplex cannot – an opportunity for discussion that allows a better understanding of issues affecting our communities and our world.
