Weekend East City Event Round Up: April Super Saturday Edition



Saturday, April 14th

52 O St Open Studios 
11:00am - 5:00pm
This might be your last chance to visit the studios and visit the working artists as the wrecking ball looms to make room for yet another development in Eckington.  


12:00pm - 3:00pm
The Brookland Gallery will be hosting an exhibition of the work of the residents of St. Luke’s House now in its sixth year of service.  
11:00am -1:30pm
CHAW will be hosting ARTNow, a flashmob community arts festival of visual art and music on the corner of 7th and G Streets SE.  
4:00pm - 7:00pm
Focusing on the spiritual side of the Occupy DC movement, Faith in Action is a photography exhibition that captures the movement’s call for social justice.

Noon - Midnight
Anacostia will come to life with a free festival of lights, music and art.  Over 100 performers, artists, curators and creative entrepreneurs will showcase their talents in several dozen pop-up spaces.

Sunday, April 15th

11:00am - 5:00pm
The open house continues at 52 O the next day so nurse your LUMEN8 hangover and head over to see the countless artists who call the space home.


Park Café 
5:30pm - 6:30pm
Stu Searles presents Energetic Abstraction at Park Café.  Aptly names, Searles colorful, expressive abstract paintings always dazzle the viewer.
