Smithsonian Folkways and the Embassy of Uruguay invite you to a Free album release reception for the new album “Los Gauchos de Roldán: Button Accordion and Bandoneón Music from Northern Uruguay.” (click the album link to listen to the music.) There will be light refreshments and space for dancing to live traditional Uruguayan music led by button accordionist José Curbelo. In addition, there will be a screening of a short Smithsonian Folkways-produced documentary film on the making of the album, a raffle for Smithsonian Folkways prizes, and sale of CDs. "
