The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad is produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State. These concerts will be held in the National Geographic Dining Hall for dancing and clogging! Come by a little early if you want to spend a little on some wine, beer, or gourmet treats at the Terra Firma Café.
Ari Roland Jazz Quartet
6:00pm
New York-based group that takes inspiration from the Golden Age of Jazz. The ensemble's repertoire includes pieces by jazz legends Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Billie Holiday, as well as their own original compositions.
Mountain Quickstep
7:15pm
Combining the bluegrass and early country music of the Adirondack, Appalachia, and Smoky Mountain regions, this group (pictured) showcases the diversity of American rural music through lively fiddle tunes, lonesome folk songs, and fancy footwork.
