"This Black Soil: A Story of Resistance and Rebirth” (2004, 58 min), "a film on the power of grass-roots activism by Teresa Konechne. The film chronicles the successful struggle of Bayview, VA, to defeat the proposed construction of a prison in their community and to rebuild their town following their own vision of prosperity." Q&A with Alice Coles, President/CEO of Bayview Citizens for Social Justice will follow the screening.
