PAST: MUSIC: Ugly Purple Sweater plays this TUES, Jan 12th at DC9, 18+ $8 Cover
Ugly Purple Sweater at DC9 Tuesday, January 12th
Show starts at 9:00pm
18+ Note: $8 Cover
My friends Sam and Rachel of "Ugly Purple Sweater" got a great mention in this weeks City Paper and will be returning from their week long tour to DC this Tuesday, January 12th to play a gig at DC9. Their music is kind of folky and can be a bit silly at times (a song about Jumbo Slice), but they also write some incredibly warm and refreshing songs. Have a listen to When the Summer Came and you'll hear a softer side with beautiful harmonies. Two other bands will be playing that night as well, Pearl and the Beard and The Bow-Legged Gorilla. Event info on facebook here.
